To Set Up a Chess Table properly, begin by making sure the bottom right square is white. This helps you align the board the right way. Now let’s place the pieces one by one.

Start with the rooks. They are placed in the four corners of the board. For white, the rooks go on a1 and h1. For black, they go on a8 and h8.
Next are the knights. Place them right next to the rooks. For white, the knights go on b1 and g1. For black, they go on b8 and g8.
After the knights, add the bishops. These are placed next to the knights. For white, put the bishops on c1 and f1. For black, place them on c8 and f8.
Now it’s time for the queen. The queen always goes on her own color. That means the white queen goes on the white square d1, and the black queen goes on the black square d8.
Beside the queen, place the king. The white king goes on e1, right next to the white queen, and the black king goes on e8, next to the black queen.
Finally, place all the pawns. Each side gets eight pawns. For white, they go on the second row, from a2 to h2. For black, they go on the seventh row, from a7 to h7.
Now your Chess Table is fully set up and ready to start the game!
